Scope of Work

Vestal Corporation provided architecture and engineering services for a composite aircraft surface manufacturing facility in St. Louis, Missouri.


The facility includes a Class 10,000 cleanroom environment for the lay-up of composite aircraft control surfaces, along with a 14-foot diameter by 60-foot high recessed autoclave designed for high-temperature and high-pressure curing operations. The project also integrated recessed robotic ultrasonic inspection systems and robotic waterjet trimming and pre-drilling stations to support precision fabrication and quality control.


Design efforts required coordination of cleanroom standards, heavy equipment foundations, structural systems, utilities infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing workflows within a highly controlled production environment.
