Scope of Work
Vestal Corporation provided FEL 1 through FEL 3 (35% design) architecture and engineering services for a 54,720-square-foot freezer warehouse expansion at Tyson Foods’ prepared foods plant in Sedalia, Missouri.
The project included the design of a new freezer warehouse and poultry holding building, demolition of an existing spiral freezer structure, and upgrades to poultry cooling and heating systems. Site improvements included a new creek bridge crossing, expanded truck parking and circulation reconfiguration, a new scale house, and new truck and employee entrances.
Project Impact
The expansion increased cold storage capacity and improved site logistics while enhancing operational flow across Tyson Foods’ Sedalia facility.
