Scope of Work
Vestal Corporation provided architecture and engineering services for a major dust collection system upgrade at Buzzi Unicem’s Cape Girardeau facility.
The project included a field-erected dust collector, medium-voltage 2,000 horsepower and 1,250 horsepower blowers, and a foundation system supporting a 250-foot-tall exhaust stack. Extensive high-temperature structural ductwork ranging from 5 to 10 feet in diameter was engineered to support industrial process demands.
Design coordination addressed heavy mechanical equipment integration, structural supports, and foundation systems within an active industrial cement manufacturing environment.
Project Impact
The dust collection upgrade improved environmental control, operational reliability, and regulatory compliance within Buzzi Unicem’s manufacturing operations.
Vestal’s integrated engineering approach strengthened system performance while supporting long-term durability under high-temperature, heavy-industrial operating conditions.
