FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE: LEAN CONSTRUCTION AT WORK IN GUADALAJARA
EXPLORING TAKT PLANNING AND THE LAST PLANNER SYSTEM IN ACTION

The LCI Community of Practice Guadalajara recently hosted a site visit to an industrial warehouse project in Zapopan, Jalisco, providing an insightful and highly valuable experience for everyone involved.
Participants had the opportunity to see Lean Construction principles applied in a real-world setting, with a strong focus on Takt Planning and the Last Planner System (LPS). Observing these tools in action highlighted how collaborative planning, reliable commitments, and a consistent production rhythm can drive improved project performance.
The visit also fostered meaningful knowledge sharing, open dialogue, and hands-on learning, reinforcing the importance of bringing Lean concepts from theory into daily construction practice.
A big thank you to the host team and all participants for their engagement and willingness to share their experiences. Initiatives like this play a key role in strengthening our learning community and advancing Lean Construction practices across the region.
